Max Rodriguez (they/them) is a queer, non-binary Expressive Arts Therapist intern at The Meeting Point, dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and student communities. Max’s non-pathologizing, trauma-informed approach is rooted in empathy, trust, and the belief in the restorative powers of nature, imagination, play, and the expressive arts.

Working together to create a safe, non-judgmental space for growth, healing, and self-expression, Max seeks to hold space for a deep understanding and acknowledgment of the systemic and environmental challenges that have lasting impacts on individuals and their communities. Max uses the expressive arts as an invitation to deepen understanding and exploration of the self, gender identity, transitional stages, the importance of connection, and navigating the unknown together.
